Sacred Valley, Peru
Visiting Ancient Sacred Sites and Making Extraordinary Experiences
This post is about how my 6th sense – the vision – opened.
During my training as an Energy Medicine Woman I have been initiated in several Karpay rites of the Peruvian Q’ero Shaman. I can easily feel energies, as this is what I practice in QiGong and TaiChi, but I was not able to “see”. And this is what Shamans do: they SEE. Since childhood I was always able to look “behind the curtains” but this is a different sight.
So, in 2023 I got the chance to visit some of the Q’ero Shamans in Peru. The travel schedule was set for the first week to climb Mt. Pachatusan – one of the Apus (Sacred Mountain) – which is at an altitude of approximately 4,800 meters and receive the TAITANCHIS RANTIS KARPAY rite. The Creator Rite (Taitanchis Rantis Karpay) is the highest rite in the shamanic tradition. And this was what I was aiming for: to receive this rite in the Peruvian Andes from a Q’ero Shaman.
The second week was a “sight seeing” (haha – sight seeing…) of the ancient sites and having a despacho ceremony at every site with one of the Shamans.
In preparation for the expedition I asked the organizer team whether we need to come earlier and acclimatize to the hight and the low oxygen rate in the air. I was told, no, not if you live in the mountains as you do. So, I arrived one day in advance of the journey. The following day (and night) I had my first extraordinary experience. We did a short warm up climb to Mt. Pumamarca – only 400 meters in altitude higher to the place where our hotel was located. So, quite normal for a trained mountain hiker like me. In our briefing meeting we had been told that we should report any physical issues immediately, especially headache, because this could be signs for hight illness. They explained it like this: First you get headache, second you get pain in your stomach, third you vomit and then you die...
Gosh, THAT dramatic? I laughed silently.
Obviously I had to learn a lesson.
So, we did climb Pumamarca the following day. Everything went well. No problem with the hike. I was the only one who didn’t need to chew on coca leaves. But on the descend I realised that I got a slight headache. Not much but definitely headache. When we disembarked the bus at the hotel I reported it to the tour guide as requested. All I can tell is that it went worse very quickly. When I arrived at my room I was not able to pack my backpack for the hike to Mt. Pachatusan the next morning. I fell into bed, I had pain in my stomach, after an hour I started vomiting and then I died… At least it felt like dying…
All I could think of was: Gosh, I came this long way for Mt. Pachatusan and now I am going to miss the most important part of the journey…
And this is where the first miracle began.
I set my intention into the fields to be able to hike up to the Apu. I envisioned myself at the mountain top receiving the rite, and I filled my body with the joy going along with it.
You may already envision what happened. I woke up early next morning, still weak from physical distress. I packed my backpack and climbed the mountain together with the other fellows to our base camp…
The staff has been very caring. They looked after me several times during the evening and night. And when I showed up to the bus – I skipped breakfast as I was still not fully recovered – and shared my story of quick recovery, I was told that I really am a Shaman. Because I selected another timeline and pulled it towards me. This is one of the special skills of a true Shaman.
And this was only the beginning of a really extraordinary journey. On the mountain Puma Spirit came to me – she was all over. I saw her face in the sky as a cloud, I received a puma face in the stone given to me at the Taitanchis Rantis Rite and I received another stone later at the base camp with puma face, too. And guess what, puma spirit stands also for seeing. Puma is the steward of the jungle. She hides behind the leaves or lies on the branch of the tree high up outside of normal view and observes. Her eyesight is enormous in the dark and she comes from the darkness into the light. Her track is hard to follow, and it is (almost) impossible to hear her walking.
Ollantaytambo, Temple of the Sun and Time Travel
One of the most impressive and well-known ancient sites of the Sacred Valley is the Temple of the Sun in Ollantaytambo. Not only is it the large terraced hill with its large well-carved stones – each one of them weighing hundreds of kilos and fitting into each other without cement – which makes the site so impressive. This in itself is a miracle: how this could have been constructed with the stone age tools. The most impressive construction is the 3-fold wall on the mountain top. Each stone block is “carved” like a laser-cut and each one of them weighing hundreds of tons!
Imagine a line of mountains to your left hand side and another line of mountains just in front of you – behind the stone wall. In between there is a valley – 2-3 kilometers in width. The mountains rise approx. 1.000 meters from the valley towards the sky. And you listen to the tour guide explaining that these stones which form the centre of the Temple of the Sun have been carved out of the mountain at the other side of the valley, transported down to and then carried through the valley and up to the top of the mountain where you are standing right now. The men had carried the blocks accompanied by the women chanting songs.
I must have looked very puzzled.
Really…? Serious…?
All the way down from the other side of the valley?
And carved out in one single piece… ? …with stone age tools?
Are you kidding me?
I instinctively knew this was a lie. Like those narratives told of how the pyramids had been build.
(Hahaha, even as a child I never believed this.)
So, I stopped listening and looked around instead.
After the guide finished his story telling, we were told to stroll around and find a place to meditate or whatever we decided to connect with the place. Everyone left. Only I still stood in front of the wall. I saw several geometric figures engraved in the centre stone which looked like Andean crosses. I noticed from the angle of my eye that our Shaman stood some meters next to me, watching me. I concentrated on the stargate in front of me. In fact, it turned out to be a time portal. I looked at the Andean cross and felt energy emanating from below my feet. There must be a huge crystal inside the mountain below the surface.
Allowing the energy to flood my energetic and physical body I glanced at the Andean cross formation. And yet, the portal opened, and I could see the passage laying in front of me like a tunnel. Beautifully coloured in the rainbow rays… Like an invitation… One you can’t refuse…
I followed the track through the gateway. It was like travelling through the cosmos in wharp 5 speed. After a long “time” my speed reduced and I saw me standing in a red robe with a hoody, facing the other side of the valley – with my back towards the gate.
I was a tall man - very tall. I was accompanied by many people both genders and all ages from children to elders – but all of us looked ageless.
The sun rose in front of me. It was solstice. How did I know? Because this exact place where the sun comes up over the mountain is only met precisely on summer solstice.
We had just finished building the Temple of the Sun. Yes, there was chanting. And yes, part of the story is true: the women DID chant songs when the temple was created. But the stones have NOT been carried around - we built the stone wall with SOUND. The frequency of our songs created the stones right here - the way they are! The way they still exist - through time and outside of time – for eons…!
After the ceremony for the rising sun, all of a sudden I found myself back in “my time”.
I felt a bit dizzy, and my legs felt like pudding. Looking around I saw José Thomas, our Shaman, still watching over me. Our eyes locked. I asked him whether he stood there the whole time? He nodded. I asked him if he stood guard for me and if he knew that I time travelled. He just nodded again. Then he advised me to sit down for a while, to eat and drink something in order to “ground” myself.

The series of mythical journeys continues…
My next post will be about a huge energy portal – a vortex - connecting the earth core with the sky and … beyond…

Wow, how amazing! I can't wait to read more...❤️✨
